Deanna Lee-Kaniowski

I have been with The Law Center for Social Security Rights since 1991. I received my Bachelors of Science from Eastern Michigan University in 1989 and my Juris Doctorate from University of Detroit School of Law in 1992. I clerked for a Federal Magistrate in the United States Eastern District Court of Michigan prior to joining The Law Center. I have devoted my entire career to the practice of Social Security and SSI disability law. I served as chairperson of the Social Security Lawyers Section for the State Bar of Michigan from 1998 to 1999. I remain an active member of the Social Security Lawyers Section and I am also a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR). For nearly 25 years, I have been involved in all aspects of the Social Security process, included the initial applications, Administrative hearings, and the Federal Court level, including both the Eastern and Western District Courts. In addition to representing claimants in disability claims, I have presented numerous Social Security seminars designed to educate medical personnel, including: physicians, social workers and nurses. I thoroughly enjoy the practice of Social Security law and am proud to be an attorney with The Law Center for Social Security Rights.
